Effluent Treatment Plant

The effluent treatment plants are designed to treat the effluent coming from different process of the plant. The treatment of different effluents varies with the type of effluent.

PRIMARY TREATMENT SCREENING

Screening is the first stage of the wastewater treatment process. Screening removes large objects from the effluent.

SECONDARY TREATMENT

Anaerobic Processes

Screened effluent collected into collection tank and then pumped the anaerobic treatment processes take place in the absence of air (oxygen). Utilizes microorganisms (anaerobes) which do not require air (molecular/free oxygen) to assimilate organic impurities. The final products are methane and biomass. After the anaerobic process the effluent sent to aeration tanks. Where Air is supplied through diffuser for reduction of organic pollutants by good bacteria, then effluent water sent to settling tank for removal of sludge settled at bottom. The over flow sewage water sent to clarifier water tank for disinfection by adding Hypo.


TERTIARY TREATMENT

The secondary treated sewage is passed through a tertiary treatment plant comprising of pressure sand filter and activated carbon filter for removal total suspend solids & color and it will used for gardening, land irrigation.
